Vice Admiral Robert Harward declines the offer to be the new national security advisor

Citing personal reasons, Vice Admiral has turned down President Donald Trump’s offer to be the new national security advisor. It was expected that Harward would take the place of Gen. Michael Flynn who was ousted from his position recently. Flynn was asked to resign by President Trump after the revelation that he had misled Vice President Pence on discussing sanctions with the Russian Ambassador. Harward, a former Navy SEAL, has served on the National Security Council earlier when President George W Bush was at the helm.
