India, China begin to look for common ground on Afghanistan

During Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar’s visit to Beijing last week, talks are on to find a common ground between India and China despite disagreements over quite a few issues including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. There are talks about “joint development projects” that could take off in spite of the economic rivalries between the two countries. The restructure “Strategic Dialogue” between the Foreign Minister and Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Zhang Yesui revealed the effort taken by both sides to stabilize India-China relations.
