CJI J S Khehar wants justice to be accessible to the poor and neglected

Voicing his concerns over India’s poor ranking in Rule of Law index, Chief Justice of India J S Khehar has appealed to those involved in the dispensation of justice to make sure that it is accessible to the poor and neglected. He wants the governments also to share the responsibility in spreading awareness about the law. Currently this task is done by National Legal Services Authority (Nalsa) and state legal services.
