Scientists have added one more health benefit to the already superfood favorite avocados. They say that avocadoes could help treat metabolic syndrome and support weight loss. Metabolic syndrome increases risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke. Eating a healthy diet is considered to be one of the ways to reduce weight. Adding avocados to the diet has a strong impact on cholesterol levels. The scientists also found that overweight people who ate one avocado every day for six weeks experienced decrease in body weight.
